This last weekend, I was a member of the So Wrong Entertainment’s 48hr film festival team. The object of this competition is to create from scratch a short film in 48 hours. Each team who competed drew from a hat: a genre, a prop and a line of text. All three elements have to be incorporated into the film! Pretty cool concept if you ask me.
The “So Wrong” team had the challenge of a lifetime when we drew “Operetta”. This meant that every line in the film had to be sung!
The script was written, scrapped, re-written and then distributed throughout the first night; filming was scheduled for early the next morning. We shot the film all through the day and then handed the footage off the the editor who worked tirelessly through the night to piece the film together before the deadline.
Our film will be shown at the Hollywood Theater with all of the other entries!
